My main areas of interest are conservation biology, birds, amphibians and mammals.

I completed a BSc in Biology (2011) at Polytechnic Institute of Beja (IPB, Portugal), for my graduation I studied the occurrence of Eliomys quercinus at Guadiana Valley Natural Park (PNVG, Portugal).

From 2011 to 2015 I worked as a biologist focused on pseudo-steppe birds monitoring, such as Great Bustards (Otis tarda), Little Bustard (Tetrax tetrax) and Montagu’s Harrier (Circus pygargus), in irrigation network construction sites. From 2014 to 2016 I assessed bird and bat fatality at a wind farm. In 2016 also collaborated with CIBIO-InBIO in the “SOS Coelho” project. Currently I am undertaking a MSc in Conservation Biology at University of Évora (UE, Portugal). I am a research fellow at the project POPCONNECT-combining genetic and fieldbased data to access the effects of roads on landscape functional connectivity and population viability, (PTDC/AAG-MAA/0372/2014).
